Designing and establishing manufacturing procedures for Ultra High Vacuum Electron Devices using High Temperature metal joining processes, TIG, MIG, Continuous improvement processes, assembly process and CAD; identifying and improving existing processes to attain lower manufacturing costs, increase productivity and reduced cycle times; analyzing, modeling and drafting to change or improve products to meet requirements; transitioning and modifying existing designs to meet DFMA principles and ease manufacturability; participating in the planning of the Introduction of New Products (“NIP”) in the design, assembly and release stages; designing from initial prototype phases to a thoroughly refined and reproducible product ready for manufacturing; designing temperature profiling and programming of brazing furnaces; designing parts to be joined by Active Metal Brazing, Cold Wall Retort Furnace Brazing, Laser Beam Welding and GTAW Welding, Resistant Spot Welding and High Precision Assembly; designing and implementing RF testing of components and sub-assemblies to ensure accuracy before and after assembly; performing RF tuning and other procedures, including Full Power RF testing and testing of radiation sources; analyzing test results and modifying designs to meet project specifications; coordinating an ERP system to maintain inventory, create and release jobs, resource planning and allocation, production cost analysis and tracking of operations and parts; and documenting modification and enhancements made to the designs and products as required by the project.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and six months’ experience in position or six months’ experience in Mechanical Engineering field.
Special requirements: Experience with High Temperature metal joining processes, TIG, MIG, Continuous improvement processes, assembly process and CAD.
